Hawaii Five-0 Renewed for 3rd Season!!

Yay.. time to celebrate.. Variety has posted the following good news!!

CBS renews 18 series
No word yet on ‘Unforgettable,’ ‘CSI’ spinoffs

By: ANDREW WALLENSTEIN
CBS became the first broadcaster to announce renewals for the 2012-13 season, bringing back 18 series Wednesday.

But the fate of the hit comedy “Two and a Half Men,” which survived the departure of longtime star Charlie Sheen, remains tied up in “preliminary discussions” with the studio. Tenth season could hinge on the return of Sheen’s replacement, Ashton Kutcher, who only signed a one-year deal.

The rest of the Monday lineup, “How I Met Your Mother,” “Mike & Molly” and freshman series “Two Broke Girls” will be back, as will “The Big Bang Theory.” “Mother” and “Theory” were already guaranteed to come back as part of multi-year deals.

Scheduled to return on the drama side are “NCIS,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “CSI,” “Criminal Minds,” “The Good Wife,” “The Mentalist,” “Hawaii Five-O,” “Blue Bloods” and freshman series “Person of Interest.”

Failing to secure renewals at this point are half-hours “Rob” and “Rules of Engagement,” as well as rookie dramas “Unforgettable” and “A Gifted Man.” Two “CSI” spinoffs, “CSI: Miami” and “CSI: New York,” failed to get pickups as well.

A renewal doesn’t necessarily mean a series will be on the fall schedule; there’s always the possibility CBS could hold over some for slots in the midseason.

On the unscripted side, CBS will return “60 Minutes,” “48 Hours,” “Undercover Boss,” “The Amazing Race,” and the previously announced “Survivor.”

Overall, CBS is up slightly in the demo year over year season to date, where it is running second to Fox. But the Eye is tops among viewers 25-54.

    Dear Alex,
Congratulations on the renewal of your 3rd season!
It will be great to see you and on your team on another season of Five-O.
I read about your taking time off to heal your aching shoulder. Hope you get well soon. I know you’ll be a good patient, since you were a very good doctor in Three Rivers. By the way, that’s where I first noticed your acting and beautiful smile.
And, try to put on some weight since you look very handsome, with your buffed body.
Be careful in your stunts so that you don’t hurt yourself.
    Take care. Be safe.
    Always,
    Carol
